Wrote make-believe stories at 9. Had a naff philosophy Tumblr at 14. Read Simon Kuper and thought I was fancy at 17. Saw my first student column in print at 18. Obsessed over AA Gill and Anthony Bourdain at 20. Then I stopped waxing lyrical and got to work: lived abroad, learnt French and Spanish, grafted in media law, news, and features. Found my voice.

At 29, I’m an advertising writer and journalist with a day job at Creative Salon...and a  lifestyle writer and copywriter for hire.
